It’s a site full of instructions on how to make stuff yourself. Some of the things are pretty bizarre but some of them are pretty good. One of the things I found there was a DIY ring flash attachment for the camera lens. Since I am not electrically inclined, Marylin’s husband, Bill was kind enough to make it for me. I have a few other things lined up to make but I took some test shots today comparing the built in flash on my 20D with shots using the ring flash. The time was about dusk. The link to the Instructables website is www.instructables.com for all of the do-it-yourself-ers out there.

I used to say, “You know you’re getting older when your boss is younger than you are. That was a few years ago and I got over it. Last week I went to see a new doctor. She was a very pretty young woman. I remember noticing it and being glad I didn’t end up having to see an old fart. Today I went to get my eyes checked. This doctor was another pretty young woman. I remember thinking back to the days when every doctor I saw was an old man. Hmmmm, then I figured it out. It isn’t the doctors getting younger, it’s me getting older.
